APC denies abandoning 90yr old woman who gave N1m for Buhari's campaign

APC has denied abandoning 90 year old Hajia Fadimatu Mai Talle Tara, the old woman who donated her N1 million savings to the Buhari campaign organization. This is in reaction to a Facebook post by one Idis Kuringafa who shared photos of Hajia Tara and said she is down with partial stroke and had been abandoned by the party. In a statement released today by Lai Mohammed, APC said since Hajia Tara was diagnosed with partial stroke, she had been on admission at the Sir Yahaya General Hospital in Birnin Kebbi with all her medical bills being taking care off by the Kebbi state governor.

The Anambra state police command has arrested one Uchenna Okoye for pouring hot oil on his wife Njideka (pictured above) during an argument at their home. When interrogated, the father of 3 said he got into an argument with his wife after he returned from work last week was no food for him to eat.

He said he got angry when she told him she'd sent someone to go buy foodstuff for her to make the food as he'd repeatedly warned her not to send people to get their food stuff. As they argued, he poured hot oil on her.

A remorseful Mr Okoye has since pleaded for forgiveness from his wife and the police. He is however still being detained at the Central Police station in Awka, the Anambra state capital.

The U.S. has been watching Russia's movement of military personnel with concern for several days, though the Foreign Ministry only confirmed the buildup Wednesday.
